Easter Sunday 2019

On Sunday, April 21, 2019, we celebrated our unique annual celebration of the Resurrection. It is a transformation from darkness to light, from death to life. After a Good Friday Tenebrae service, redressing the sanctuary together and beautifying the cross with flowers was all the more meaningful. It was Friday, but Sunday has come!  (49 Photos)

Veterans Day 2018

Sunday, November 11, 2018, marked the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day (the end of the Great War we now know as World War I). Our congregation honored all of our living Veterans with a special flag ceremony and a moment of silence as 11 bells tolled at the 11th hour in remembrance of the cease fire declared in France to end the Great War.  (15 Photos)

Easter Sunday 2018

On Sunday, April 1, 2018, we once again enjoyed our unique annual celebration of the Resurrection. It is a transformation from darkness to light, from death to life. Redressing the sanctuary together and beautifying the cross with flowers is always a highlight of our Easter worship experience.
He is risen! (He is risen indeed)!

First Responders Appreciation Day 2016

On Sunday, September 18th we invited our Swanton Police and Fire Departments to join us for worship. We had a time to openly share words of thanks and honor to the courageous men and women to serve and protect our community. After the service we held a hearty potluck dinner for them and their families. We love our Swanton First Responders!  (28 Photos)

Easter Celebration 2015

On Sunday, April 5, 2015, we completed our unique celebration of the Passion Week. On Maundy Thursday, the sanctuary was draped in black cloth. It remained that way until everything was unveiled on Easter Sunday morning. The transformation was dramatic and culminated with the decorating of the cross with flowers. He is risen!  (24 Photos)

Comedy Night

On Sunday night, May 4, 2014, the church hosted it's first ever "Comedy Night" with special guest star, Stan Doyle. The pastors performed various ad lib comedy scenes resulting in enough laughter to satisfy everyone (including District Superintendent, Rev. Marla Brown). Jokes, gags, puns, pratfalls, laughs and lunacy prevailed! (9 Photos)
